UPDATE: Before you read what I wrote 2 years ago..which I'm not going to remove, because I'm just not going to take the time to revise it..here's the latest scoop~~I'm back in school! I am studying Nursing...this will be my third career, not counting being a mom and a wife. I'm making A's so watch out..Coming soon, to a hospital near you (or not near you, if you're lucky!!) Nurse Aldean! (now you can be scared~~)
Now for your regularly scheduled programming:
I'm back..... in Sherman!! After leaving Sherman behind in '71, when the base closed, we moved to Colorado Springs, CO. I finished high school up there at Wasson High School, then went on to Colorado State University where I distinguished myself for 3 years in complete laziness. I finally managed to get myself suspended by just not bothering to go to class for a whole semester, they frown on that in Colorado. So... without further ado I toted myself off to beauty school and found out that I have talent!! My hands are a creative force unto themselves and I have since pursued every known craft suited to little hands with long fingernails.
Along the way I got married, had 2 boys, now men, got divorced, after 25 years of marriage, and a lot of other stuff in between. Since my divorce I've learned that the...Expand for more
school of hard knocks is still in session... somehow or another we never graduate... go figure. I'm actually working full time for the 1st time in my life, at the age of 54, what a shock. I've been a florist for the last 15 years, I must like it! I'm currently the owner of AA Floral Wholesale of Texoma!! What that really means is, I work my ass off for not much money. Kinda reminds me of my marriage...... Not that I'm a cynic, well okay, I am a cynic, but I'm a really fun cynic. Anyway...I'm the owner and janitor of my own business, or does it own me? The AA stands for, what else...Agnes Aldean!!!! How original!!
So... back to the beginning.... I'm back in Sherman! I moved back here after my divorce. This was the last place I lived that I hadn't lived with my X, so that made it a safe place to be. When I came back for the 30 year reunion I was surprised to find I liked it here! It's a great place to live and I love the lake!! I'm out there with my friends every weekend. " Old Folks Behaving Badly" to be released on video only after the complete dementia of all those involved. And you thought we had fun in high school... we had nothing on the "old folks"! I am so glad I moved back here.... really!!
Life in Texas is "red dirt" great!!!
